Neatly Packaging Pattern Design

I had a wonderful opportunity to work with one of the companies called Neatly here in Dubai.

Neatly is a lifestyle and organizing company, with a mission to elevate life, one space at a time. Their aim is to stimulate the shift towards sustainable and ethical products. They want thoughtful living to be attainable for everyone.

I was honoured to speak briefly with Sara-May Schmidt who is the CEO of Neatly. We spoke about Dubai, Marie Kondo (who is the main inspiration for her company!) visual designs and the aesthetic the company wanted to portray.
They are currently in the process of creating organizational boxes that are both appealing and practical. Sara-May was kind enough to take some time off of her busy schedule and speak a little bit more about what type of patterns and illustrations I was to stick to. We came up with watercolour, inks and floral elements as our main form of medium.
The idea was to keep it flowy and dare I say, Neat!
Simplicity is at the base of their design system at Neatly. They balance between maximizing functionality and maintaining a clean and consistent look.
The company's colors reflect harmony and are consist of neutral and dynamic colors that complement each other, in both color and tone. The combination of their color palettes allow for the creation of materials that are visually interesting and balancing.
For the natural elements I decided to keep them as light as possible and incorporate cooler tones rather than warm ones.
The secondary colors are considered their supporting colors and are designed to provide creative flexibility. These colors are complementary to the primary palette and were chosen to add warmth and energy to the design.
